Tournament of Champions 2005 PhotosPhoto Album Credits Return to Event Index Page | Next Page February 5, 2005 was the day set aside for Georgia DeMolay for all the members to go head to head and see who were champions at memorizing and presenting the DeMolay rituals and ceremonies. The event? Tournament of Champions!
Chris Eells (left) still fits right in with the competitors from his home state even though he is now the International Master Councilor of DeMolay International!
It's never to late to cram in some last minute study. State Senior Deacon Todd Stovall is a great competitor and leaves nothing to chance.
Ya think these guys have their parts memorized word for word and need no further study? Or maybe the TV is showing an interactive study guide for one of the ceremonies .... NOT!
Master Mason Dad Eddie Massaro regularly volunteers to judge these DeMolay events. Masons have a very critical eye for detail, and he doesn't miss a single slip. The DeMolays were really sweating his precise grading.
Dad Sheldon Little, on the other hand, gives a lot of points for effort and always writes encouraging remarks on the grading sheets to help improve the DeMolay's future performances. What a guy!
Dad Hugh D'Anna is so accommodating. He regularly pretends to be sleeping during these important events to give Dad Griggers another photo op for his "Dad D'Anna taking a nap" picture book. We understand that Dad Griggers has had to purchase another binder for his growing collection of shots of a slumbering Dad D'Anna.
An army of volunteers help stuff envelops to be sent to Lodges as a part of the Master's Pin Fundraiser Program. Proceeds from this program will go to help cover the costs of the State DeMolay programs, including leadership training.
Rug Rat Alert!!! Christina and Heather are going to grow up to be beautiful sweethearts someday. Future DeMolays look out!
