What better way is there to build strong bodies, teach cooperation and
teamwork, make new friends and just have fun is there than a weekend of sports
with brother DeMolays from all around the state! Spring Jam 2001 brought
competitors from virtually every Chapter in Georgia to Covington.

On Friday evening, May 4, 2001, DeMolays and their families
begin arriving in Covington to register. State Senior Councilor Justin Nobles,
Samuel S. Lawrence Master Councilor Perry Bennett, DJ Extraordinaire and Chapter
Advisor Jon Challen and State Sweetheart
Jodie Bennett hang out and greet everyone as they arrive.

Energy abounds everywhere! Anxious to get into the competition,
the guys toss a ball back and forth.

Looking at the name tags, you will find these guys live hundreds
of miles apart, but DeMolay brings them together and helps form friendships
without boundaries.
State Junior Councilor, Mike Riley, and a fellow DeMolay appearsto be dancing the do-si-do, don't you think?

Nothing like a good bonfire to allow everybody that has arrived
at the campground an opportunity to say hello to old friends and meet new ones.

"Yo, dude! We are going to cream you guys tomorrow!
"Challenges begin to be made and reminders are tossed about on who won last year.

Jodie is ready to take on the role of team cheerleader when the
competition starts!

Dad Marc Bohn, is fully alert and keeping tabs on everything.
This is his first Spring Jam since being named State Executive Officer and he is
ready to go.

How Adam Fowler, State Marshal, can turn in early in a dorm
room filled with about 40 noisy guys is a mystery. Guess he is planning on being
at full speed tomorrow when the competition starts! Don't they look so innocent
when they are sleeping?
