Who would have thought these guys would have so much fun
flying kites.

The competition for the Go Fly A Kite competition
had to put their kites together.

"Hey, anybody got any more string?" Russell's
having a little trouble.

There was no breeze and for a while it was thought that
the prize would have to be given to this tall DeMolay who clearly had his kite
higher than anyone else without even flying it.

A little helping hand is greatly appreciated.

Stephen Bohn finally finds a breeze and gets his kite airborne.

Dad Mike Williams gets his kite up.

James O'Neal changes the rigging on his kite to see if he can get
it launched.

Jackie Moody, State Junior Councilor, shows off the winning
kite. He takes the competition by being the first to get his flying device
in the air.

They were not first in the air, but these guys deserve
honorable mention. They got the most height, putting five rolls of string
on their high flying kite seen above as a small speck at the top of the
picture.
