The Holiday Formal was held at the Tybee Lite Shrine Club on December 7, 2002, marking the first time the DeMolays had held their festive seasonal dance in Savannah since Gary Vinson, Jr. was State Master Councilor in 1998.

Tybee Island Lighthouse

Tybee Island is a favorite of the DeMolays who venture to the Savannah coast every Fall for a fun event known as Beach Weekend.

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer, put in a special guest appearance!

Perry Bennett

Illustrious Knight Commander Perry Bennett sports the new IKC collar that was presented to him at the Holiday Formal. He also shows his new "Paper Palm Pilot", a gift from the State Parents Club.

Each of the Chapter Sweethearts receives a nice holiday gift.

Jodi Bennett

Music for the gala event was provided by Jo & Die Productions, a great new DJ service operated by Jodie Bennett, a past State Sweetheart. Her special blend of rap/dance/hip hop and fun tunes kept everyone on their feet all night long.

Dad Stovall

The SEC Championship game between Georgia and Arkansas kept Dad Stovall and the other adults riveted while the young people danced. Georgia won the game by a whopping 30-3!

Jon Challen

Oopps! We later discovered that Jo & Die Productions was a bogus operation and Jon Challen, Georgia DeMolay's premier DJ of J & D Productions, was the rightful owner of the equipment. He was still growling over the attempted takeover when this picture was taken.

Fortunately for the DeMolays, lots of Rainbow girls were already in Savannah for a special event on their calendar. When all the ladies arrived, the dance became a target rich environment for the DeMolays with the girls outnumbering the boys by about 2 to 1!

Or in the case of Clayton Chapter's Sidny Davis, three to one! Go Sidny!!!
