Conclave 2005 Photos

Saying goodbye to all your fellow active DeMolays is an emotional
experience.

Michael Clough of Middle Georgia and Billy McDaniel of Clayton Chapter
were somber as they realized their days of being an active DeMolay were coming
to a close.

Dad Bohn welcomes Dorian Ivie to Conclave, presents him with his
membership patent and congratulates him
on being the first member from what will eventually become Peachtree City Chapter.
Dad Skip Mason has been actively pursuing the start up of a new chapter in
Peachtree City and is very optimistic that enough members will be recruited to
have the Letters Temporary issued next year.

Dad Bohn presents Richie Eells and Kyle Corwin each with a Blue
Honor Key symbolizing their key role in the growth of Georgia DeMolay. You
must be the first line signer on ten petitions to earn this prestigious award.

Kyle also received the Past Master Councilor's Meritorious
Service Award along with Samuel S. Lawrence member John Harris. Both of these
outstanding leaders are congratulated by Geoff Bard and Dad Bohn.

Dad Adam Fowler was presented with a Past Illustrious Knight
Commander Meritorious Service Award for an outstanding year last year
heading up Knighthood. Dad Fowler recently became a Master Mason in Samuel S.
Lawrence Lodge and applied to be an Advisor marking a continuation of his
association with Masonry and DeMolay.

It is normally the prerogative of the State Executive Officer to
decide whether to name an Advisor of the Year. In a surprising twist the Executive
Officers Steering Committee, unbeknown to Dad Bohn, applied directly to
Kansas City to have the Executive Officer of Georgia DeMolay named the Advisor
of the Year for his hard work this past year promoting DeMolay to Masons and
his efforts to raise funds to support the State Officers and the state
organization. Dad Bohn works tirelessly for DeMolay and gives us most of his
free time to be there for the guys. DeMolay International hardily agreed with
the request and awarded Dad Marc B. Bohn the Guild of the Leather Apron Award.
Dad Bohn was visibly moved when the medal was placed around his neck by
Dads Frank Stephens, Larry Griggers and Jim Bard, each a previous recipient of
the prestigious award.

Dad Justin Nobles, portraying the role of Grand Marshal and Dad
Skip Mason, portraying the role of Grand Commander, walk by the Commandry Honor
Guard in preparation for the Chevalier Investiture.

Kyle Corwin of Don R. Roberts Chapter, Jake Lyons and Andrew
Meeks of Middle Georgia Chapter, and Julius Moody of Cecil Cheves Chapter all
received the Chevalier Award for their outstanding support of DeMolay and the
example they show others of how to live up to the high standards DeMolay
inspires its members to achieve.

Kyle was very moved on becoming a Chevalier. This young man had
certainly had a remarkable year. He became a Chevalier, earned a Blue Honor Key
and was awarded a Past Master Councilor's Meritorious Service Award. His
leadership was instrumental in revitalizing Don R. Roberts Chapter. Everyone at
Conclave was excited that this once vibrant Chapter is returning to its glory
days. Along with his other officers and members, Kyle proved that no Chapter
should ever be counted out as long as it has determined members with love in
their hearts for the Order and each other.
