Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter Observes Frank S. Land Day

MARIETTA, GA - On Monday, November 16, about fifty people were in attendance as Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter observed the Frank S. Land Obligatory day in their traditional manner by having a Thanksgiving covered dish dinner and awards night. A turkey dinner with all the trimmings was followed by presentation of the annual awards for Ritualist of the Year, Advisor of the Year and DeMolay of the Year. Ritualist of the Year for 2009 went to Peter Bard, marking the fourth time he has won this distinction. The Advisor of Year is awarded by a vote of the chapter members and this year was awarded to Dad Jim Bard. Finally another tradition was respected when last year's chapter DeMolay of the Year, Christopher Somers presented the award for 2009 Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter DeMolay of the Year to his brother Jacob Somers.
