Majority Service Held for Richard Eells and Todd Stovall
STONE MOUNTAIN, GA - On August 25, at Mountain Park Chapter's regular meeting, the Majority Service was
performed for chapter members Richard Eells, Todd Stovall, and Jake Regus, along with Trey D'Anna of Cecil
Cheves Chapter. T. Alan Moore served as Master Councilor for the service. The Majority Service marks the
end of active membership in DeMolay for these members. State Master Councilor Michael Benedetti was
in attendance and noted the legacy of leadership in Mountain Park Chapter. Eells and Stovall have
been lifelong friends and have had impressive DeMolay careers, so it was especially fitting for the two to
receive the service together at their home chapter.

Throughout Richard Eells' career in DeMolay, he traveled throughout the world representing the young men of
DeMolay International. As the 42nd International Master Councilor he served as the highest elected official for
DeMolay International. Rich began his career in DeMolay following behind both of his older brothers
in the Order. He quickly found that he possessed an innate ability to lead, and to inspire others to work
towards a common goal. Through the nurturing of his local chapter, Rich quickly rose through the ranks of
the chapter, ultimately serving as Master Councilor of Mountain Park for the first time in 2003. Four years
later, he led the Associated DeMolay Chapters of Georgia, having been elected to serve as the State Master
Councilor for 2007-2008. Because of his exceptional service and devotion to the Order Rich was named
DeMolay of the Year that same year, and is also a Chevalier. In 2008, Rich was elected to serve as the 42nd
International Master Councilor for the DeMolay Congress and completed an outstanding year. He was nominated
by the current International Master Councilor, Ben Turconi, to that office. Rich attends the University of
West Georgia, where he is majoring in Management Information Systems. |

Todd Stovall began his career in DeMolay following his brother Derek in the Order, joining in March of 2000.
After two years of active membership, he was elected by his Chapter to Master Councilor in July of 2002. The
next year, he would begin his six year journey as a state officer, culminating in his election to State Master
Councilor for the 2008-2009 term. While State Master Councilor, he also served the 42nd International DeMolay
Congress as the Regional Cabinet Member. Because of his longtime service and dedication to DeMolay, Todd was
named the 2009 DeMolay of the Year. He is also honored as a Chevalier. Todd attends Southern Polytechnic State University, where he is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. |
