Peachtree City Defends State Basketball Title
MACON, GA - The 2009 Georgia DeMolay Basketball Tournament was held Saturday,
April 4, at the Masonic Home of Georgia. DeMolays from Samuel S. Lawrence, Mountain Park,
Middle Georgia, and Peachtree City, along with their Advisors, Parents and Sweethearts all participated.
It was a double-elimination Tournament refereed by Dad Russ Nobles and Dad Jim
Stovall. Music was provided by Dad Keating.
Peachtree City Chapter, the 2008 Champions, successfully held off
challenges from Samuel S, Lawrence and Mountain Park Chapters to win the 2009
Championship. After the Tournament, the DeMolays, Advisors, Parents, and Sweethearts
went out to eat as a group, and then attended the Miss Rainbow Dance,
sponsored by the Grand Assembly of Georgia, Order of Rainbows for Girls, held
at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center held in Macon.

The referees hold a pre-game midcourt meeting.
