Stovall Installed as State Master Councilor
CARROLLTON, GA - At the annual Conclave of the Associated DeMolay Chapters of Georgia, held the weekend of
July 24-27 on the campus of the University of West Georgia, Todd A. Stovall was installed as the Georgia State
Master Councilor. He will lead the state association, made up of fifteen chapters and over 200 active members,
for the next twelve months.
Stovall's plans for the upcoming year include a focus on membership and community service. The membership plan
continues from last year and is called "88 in '08", which sets the lofty goal of initiating 88 new members
into Georgia DeMolay in 2008. Currently, Georgia DeMolay has initiated 36 in 2008, leaving 52 more to achieve
88 in '08.
Stovall also plans to implement a Big Brother program. With the assistance of the state Knighthood Priory, each
Master Councilor or Sir Knight will be asked to mentor a new DeMolay. For the first six months of a new DeMolay's
career, his mentor will assist him with education, socialization, and memorizing DeMolay ceremonies. Stovall will also
implement a statewide speech contest.
Stovall's theme for his term is P.R.I.D.E., an acronym for Personal Responsibility In DeMolay Excellence.
His term colors are red and gold. His fun icon is Mickey Mouse.
