Autumn Camp Out
There are many different kinds of social activities available in DeMolay. A campout can
be a fun way to introduce new members to the organization and rekindle interest in some of the
older members. Thanks to the mild Autumn and Winter in Georgia, now is a perfect time to
hold a campout.
Clayton Chapter in Ellenwood was quite successful with a campout they held last year at
this time. Activities such as a kickball tournament, games, and "drive-in" movies
were offered, and there was truly an activity that everyone could enjoy.
This year, Clayton is planning to do it all again at the 2nd Annual Mallard's Campout
at a date to be determined
at Dad Larry Griggers' House. Activities scheduled include a game of kickball,
frisbee, unicycle riding, horseshoes, and the now-famous "drive-in" movie under the garage.
Dinner and breakfast will be served. Admission for the event is two non-perishable items
for the needy (canned goods, dried food, boxed food, etc.). Bring your tent and a good attitude,
and we'll see you at Dad G's!
For more information about this event, please contact Clayton Chapter Advisor Larry Griggers
