SpotlightNew Year's Eve BashAttention DeMolays and Rainbows. It's that time of year again: Time to ring in the New Year with your brothers, sisters, and friends. This year the bash will be held at the Savannah Scottish Rite Building. Parents and friends are cordially invited. Let's get ready to rock out! We will kick off the New Year with a Rock Band competition! You and your friends will form a band of four people; create a band name, costume, and your best rockin' attitude! You and your band will sign up for the song you want to sing that afternoon and the competition will start that evening with a panel of judges and your votes. Bash this year will be a two day event. We will ring in the New Year on the 31st. On the 1st, we will have some fun activities, a Legion of Honor Investiture at 4 pm, followed by dinner with some of the local masons. We will then depart Savannah on the 2nd after breakfast. In an effort to conserve gas, vehicles, and drivers, we are proposing to rent a number of fifteen passenger vans and consolidate our travel from the Atlanta area. Dad Mason is coordinating this effort. He will need final numbers and identities of drivers no later than December 23. He will coordinate the logistics with the drivers as soon as they identify themselves. The all-inclusive cost will be $35 for those who wish to participate in the consolidated transportation. If you prefer to drive yourself, the cost will be $15. This includes meals and snacks for the event. Exact details are still to be decided but the general plan is to leave the Atlanta area about 11am on December 31st. This should put us in Savannah early that evening for the fun and activities. We will depart Savannah on the 2nd after breakfast and be back in Atlanta in the afternoon. Make your plans NOW to attend the year end festivities. See you there!!!!! |
