Hunter was recently installed as Peachtree City's Junior Councilor.
|
Hunter Sullivan, a member of Peachtree City Chapter in Peachtree City,
was selected as the Georgia DeMolay Online "DeMolay of the Month" for October
2007. He has been a member of DeMolay since April of 2006 and attends Fayette County High
School. He is currently the Junior Councilor of his chapter.
We sat down with Hunter to learn a little more about him....
GDO:
Hunter, congratulations on your selection as GDO's October DeMolay
of the Month. We want our web site visitors to learn a little more
about you and your DeMolay career. How did you find out about and get
involved with DeMolay?
Hunter:
My dad read an article in the county newspaper and called Dad Mason. Also,
my uncle was a Mason so he really wanted me to be a part of this.
GDO:
What do you like best about DeMolay?
Hunter:
Performing degrees. This is because the degrees are really cool and really
special. They really show an awesome part of DeMolay. I am really excited to
learn new parts.
GDO:
In the short time you've been a member of DeMolay, you've brought in a
number of new members. What is your technique for selling DeMolay to your
friends?

At Conclave, Hunter asks a question to the Junior Councilor candidates. |
Hunter:
I just talk to them and tell them how cool DeMolay is. I tell them how
much fun I have, how nice the people are, and how much I enjoy it.
GDO:
You're on the Fayette County High School football team. Are you excited
about the flag football tournament at Spring Jam? Will you be leading
Peachtree City to knock Mountain Park off its unbeaten streak in Flag
Football?
Hunter:
Yes! I am very excited! I love football. And about beating Mountain Park-
I guarantee it! Watch out guys!
GDO:
State Master Councilor Richie Eells has stated that you are "very
motivated and one of the people that really gets what DeMolay is about." Tell us
what DeMolay is all about for you.
Hunter:
For me DeMolay is all about brotherhood. It is great to know that there
are so many friends... brothers that you have looking out for you and
supporting you.
GDO:
What are your goals for your future in DeMolay?
Hunter:
I want to go to the top! I am on the path to becoming Master Councilor
and I really want to get involved on a state level.

Hunter takes a break with some of his DeMolay friends to toss the football.
|
GDO:
Outside of DeMolay, what are some of your other interests and activities?
Hunter:
Football, football, football. I also play football for a rec team called
the North Clayton Cowboys.
GDO:
Thank you for your time, Hunter, and congratulations again on your selection as GDO's
DeMolay of the Month!
Hunter:
Thanks! I appreciate it!
